Description This gem quality praziolite crystal is from Ceara, Brazil. Most gemstones are heat treated to enhance their color. It is a long accepted method used throughout the gemstone market. The treatment of some amethyst or quartz normally produces a range of colors from purple and yellow/orange to smokey. The amethyst from a handful of locations turn a green color upon treatment and it has been named praziolite. It has the same chemical composition as amethyst. This crystal measures 18 x 12 x 8 it weighs 9.8 carats
