Description This tourmaline is from Minas Gerais, Brazil. It is a cross-sectional slice of an elbaite, variety rubellite, tourmaline that has been polished front and rear to a gem luster. The perimeter is natural. The center of the slice exhibits a triangular form of a deep red primary crystal. It gradually zones and lightens to turn into a nine sided crystal. This piece measures  17 x 16 x 3 mm and it weighs 8 carats. For insurance purposes this piece will need to be shipped Priority Mail International (when shipping internationally).
