Throwing a chalice has been passed down in ancient times, has a considerable history and is recognized by the ancients, and has become the main tool for communicating with the gods and asking for instructions, so one needs a set of one's own chalice when asking for divination. Usually made of wood or bamboo, the chalice is shaped like a crescent moon and consists of two paired pieces, one raised and the other flat, called “yin” and “yang” respectively. If there is one yin and one yang, it is called the "Holy Grail". Procedures for Throwing the Chalice : (1) Before throwing the chalice, one may pick up the chalice towards the sharp corner, make three rounds of the incense burner, and kneel down in front of the deity, giving one's name, birth date, address, and asking for instructions in the hope that the deity will give them or give them to the deity. (2) If you are just asking for a question or a sign, you only need to throw a chalice to seek an answer. (3) If there is an important matter that requires guidance, it is usually recommended to throw the chalice three times consecutively, with the same result being obtained three times. If there are no three consecutive oracle throws, then the person will be asked to throw the oracle again until the same result is obtained for three consecutive throws. Generally speaking, there are three types of results: "Holy Grail", "Laughing Grail" and "Yin Grail". Chalice of Yin: It means that the spirit does not accept, recognize or respond to your inner thoughts, or it may even mean that the spirit is angry. Holy Grail: It means that the spirit agrees, recognizes or responds to your inner thoughts. This is an auspicious result. Laughing Chalice: It means that the Spirit has no special approval or opinion on your inner thoughts, or no guidance.
