This oil is steam-distilled from Clary sage (Salvia sclarea), a herb widely popular in the Middle Ages as medicinal plant and in modern times. A close relative to the garden sage, the Clary sage provides an essential oil which is less irritant, non-toxic and none sensitising. Note: Sweet, nutty-herbaceous Blends well with: Juniper, Lavender, Geranium, Pine, Frankincense, Citrus oils Benefits: Anticonvulsive, antidepressant, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, antibacterial, and sedative properties Particularly efficient for throat and respiratory infections as it cools inflammation  Relieves cramps, dyspepsia, flatulence  Alleviates depression, frigidity, impotence, migraine, and nervous tension  Effective in treating hair related problems such as hair loss and dandruff  Calms and balances acneic and oily skin Use:  To alleviate stress related issues Add to steaming hot water (250 ml) 2 drops of Clary sage essential oil 3 drops of Lavender essential oil 1 drop of Bergamot essential oil Inhale for 5 – 10 minutes. To relax and fight insomnia Add to a hot bath right before going to bed 5 drops of Clary sage essential oil 3 drops of Lavender essential oil 2 drops of Mandarin essential oil Aphrodisiac blend for couples Add to the diffuser 2 drops of Clary sage essential oil 1 drop of Juniper essential oil 1 drop of Thyme Linalool essential oil Diffuse for at least 30 minutes. Precautions: Allergy test: Use one drop of the essential oil and rub it on your inner forearm. Wait for 15 minutes. If there is redness, skin irritation or any allergic reaction, discontinue use immediately. AVOID while drinking alcohol.
